Viktor Gyokeres ‘splits from model girlfriend’ to ‘remove all ties to Portugal’ after she makes feelings clear on preferred transfer decision

Viktor Gyokeres’ reason for leaving his relationship with Ines Aguiar has been disclosed.

Viktor Gyokeres reportedly parted up with his model girlfriend after she expressed her preference for a transfer this summer.

Gyokeres has been the subject of considerable transfer rumors, with Arsenal, Manchester United, and Juventus monitoring his status at Sporting CP.

He has emerged as one of Europe’s leading forwards following a productive run in Portugal’s top division, where he scored an astounding 54 goals across all competitions last season.

However, his services will not be cheap, as Sporting CP president Frederico Varandas has disclosed the amount required to entice him away from Portugal.

According to reports, Gyokeres has decided on his next club and is close to signing a contract with Arsenal ahead of a major summer transfer.

Gyokeres’ model girlfriend would prefer that he stay at Sporting CP ahead of the new season, therefore a move to Arsenal would be disappointing.

Ines Aguiar, who is from Lisbon, ‘promised’ to attempt to persuade him to stay with the club for a third season.

However, in a surprise twist in the transfer story, the 27-year-old split from Aguiar due to a’relationship conflict’.

That is according to TV Guia, which claims they had been ‘separated’ since the Swedish international departed on holiday.

According to the article, the affair ended before Gyokeres went on holiday and is tied to his choice to leave Sporting for good this summer.

He wants to cut all ties with Portugal in order to complete his relocation back to England.

A source confirmed this: “Viktor doesn’t want anything to tie him to Portugal, especially because he has already decided that he won’t continue at Sporting next season.”

Arsenal are determined to sign a new No.9, and Mikel Arteta is also interested in RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.

However, it appears that the Gunners will eventually sign Gyokeres, who is on the verge of leaving Sporting CP.

The great forward has previously played in England, where he was signed by Brighton. He rose to prominence in the Championship with Coventry City, when he scored 38 league goals in 91 matches over two seasons.
