Man City fans want one player sold immediately after shock Club World Cup defeat to Al Hilal

Al Hilal defeated Manchester City in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Following the Premier League powerhouses’ unexpected loss to Al Hilal, Manchester City supporters have started responding on social media.

The FIFA Club World Cup round of 16 matchup between City and Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia took place at the Camping World Stadium on Monday night.

The game ended 2-2 after regular time, indicating that it was a thrilling night of activity.

Before Marcos Leonardo and Malcom gave Al Hilal a 2-1 victory, Bernardo Silva had put City ahead. Then, in the 55th minute, Erling Haaland scored the equalizer.

Kalidou Koulibaly gave Al Hilal the lead again in extra time, but Phil Foden tied the score once more.

Leonardo’s goal in the 112th minute was ultimately sufficient to give Simone Inzaghi’s team a thrilling 4-3 victory.

On social media, City supporters expressed their displeasure with goalie Ederson’s performance.

A supporter stated: “We lost due to Ederson and Poor finishing two things that cost us last year.”

“Ederson,” another person tweeted. I’m in trouble if I talk.”

“Three shots on target, three goals conceded,” a third supporter said. I apologize, Ederson, but I am no longer able to protect you.

“Ederson hasn’t tried to save a shot since the treble season, I swear,” another person wrote.

A fifth person said: “It’s unbelievable how many of us watched the Alisson vs. Ederson arguments. appropriate, unapologetically shameless behavior.

“Ederson hasn’t made a single save this game, nor has he even tried,” remarked another fan. It’s embarrassing.

“We allowed them to create transitions, but we created a lot and in general we were good,” City manager Pep Guardiola said following the game.

It’s unfortunate. We were in a great environment, and I can’t express how grateful I am to the personnel for their dedication, training, and preparation.”

He continued: “I have the feeling that the team is doing well but we go home and now time to rest and refresh our mind and come back next season.”

Al Hilal will now play Fluminense in the quarterfinals after the Brazilian team surprised Inter Milan with a 2-0 victory.
