Jude Bellingham could be about to cost Real Madrid astronomical sum of money as nightmare scenario revealed

A frightening scenario has emerged in which Jude Bellingham might cost Real Madrid an enormous fortune.

Bellingham has emerged as a vital performer for Real Madrid following his £88.5 million signing from Borussia Dortmund.

He had a fantastic debut season, scoring 23 goals in all competitions and helping his team win the Champions League.

Real had a dismal season by their lofty standards last season, but the 21-year-old is determined to lead his team to triumph at the Club World Cup.

But Bellingham has been dealing with a recurring shoulder ailment since 2023, and he has worn strapping on his shoulder while playing for his club and England.

He is about to go under the knife, as Real has scheduled an operation for him after the Club World Cup.

If Real reach the final, they might stay in the United States until July 13.

After surgery, Bellingham might be out until 2026, dealing a terrible blow to Real and England.

If such is the case, he will be out of play for around 24 weeks.

That implies Real would pay Bellingham, who is estimated to make £330,000 per week, nearly £8 million even if he was not available.

However, the figure might range between £4 million and £6 million if the Three Lions player is sidelined for three to four months, as previously reported.

Bellingham has been nursing a shoulder injury since sustaining initial injuries on November 5, 2023, during a collision with Rayo Vallecano’s Isi Palazon.

Speaking after his team’s 3-1 victory over Pachuca last weekend, he stated that he is losing tolerance with his shoulder condition. “I’ve reached a point where the pain isn’t so severe.

“I got tired of fiddling with the sling.

“I’m losing a lot of weight due to excessive perspiration, and I’ll have surgery after the tournament.

“I’ve been waiting a while, and my patience is running out, but the physios and doctors have been incredible, and I want to feel free.”

Bellingham has started both of Real Madrid’s Club World Cup games and could remain in the starting lineup when the tournament resumes on Friday against RB Salzburg.
