Viktor Gyokeres bombshell drops as he tells family and friends to ‘expect’ him to join one Premier League club

A move to the Premier League has been strongly suggested for the Sporting CP striker.

A reputable writer has released a significant update regarding Viktor Gyokeres’ future, citing “private messages” to support the player’s position.

The 27-year-old Swedish international Gyokeres has been linked to a number of clubs over the summer, including Manchester United, Juventus, Arsenal, and Saudi Arabian teams.

The former Brighton and Coventry player, who scored 54 goals in 52 games for Sporting in the 2024–25 season, is probably going to leave this summer.

The club’s Sporting Director, Frederico Varandas, denied rumors that Sporting was asking about €60 million plus €10 million for the player.

“I can assure you of one thing: Viktor Gyokeres will not depart for €60 million plus €10 million,” Varandas stated last week. I never gave him permission to go, and the game his agent is playing would only make things worse, so he won’t.

The forward is still expected to leave this summer despite Varandas’ adamant attitude, but which team will he sign with?

Alex Crook of talkSPORT claims that the athlete has communicated his preference to his family and friends.

“I received a message about a day ago indicating that Viktor Gyokeres has informed friends and family that he anticipates joining Arsenal,” Crook stated.

Because of his prior association with Ruben Amorim, we are aware that Manchester United is also interested in signing him.

“However, Arsenal can provide Champions League play and possibly a chance to win the championship the next year.

“But Sporting is going to be tough; Gyokeres and the team have a falling out since his agency said they had a gentleman’s agreement that allowed him to leave for £60 million, but I believe they’re aiming for closer to £80 million.
