On Tuesday, the 19-year-old made his Dortmund debut, and supporters quickly shared their opinions.
Following Jobe Bellingham’s Borussia Dortmund debut versus Fluminense at the Club World Cup, fans had a lot to say.
Last Monday, Jobe, 19, signed a five-year contract with Borussia Dortmund that will expire in June 2030.
A sum of about £26.96 million plus £4.2 million in add-ons is expected to be paid to Sunderland.
Jobe has, of course, been compared to his older brother Jude, who also played for Dortmund before moving to Real Madrid in 2023.
Additionally, the younger of the two made his debut for his new team during the Club World Cup group stage on Tuesday, June 17.
Jobe entered the game 59 minutes into Dortmund’s match at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where they were tied 0-0 with Fluminense, a Brazilian team.
Fans quickly shared their opinions about his performance.

One commented: “Very good debut! Jobe Bellingham makes an impression at the Club World Cup, looking dapper in that Dortmund uniform. I’m eager to see more of him.
Another commented: “He’s just swinging side passes like proper EFL midfielder – nothing special about him!”
One more person said: “Uncanny resemblance with his brother.”
A fourth, however, clarified: “Aside from the publicity, nothing is particularly noteworthy. The hoopla that is carrying his Real Madrid brother is the only thing carrying this dreadfully ordinary guy. “Stop this nonsense!”
Jobe told the club’s website last week that it was a “incredible feeling” to join with the German team.

“It’s an amazing sensation,” Jobe remarked. Many athletes dream of it, and for a few weeks now, it’s also been my dream, so it’s a huge privilege. I’m thrilled to be here.
“Honestly, the past three weeks have been amazing for me,” he continued. There have been a lot of wonderful times. Of course, this is one of them. Naturally, the final and the entire play-offs at my former club meant a lot to me, but I also signed with Borussia Dortmund. It was truly unique, and I was pleased to have achieved that outcome.
Given that the England youth international is making a significant transition from the English Championship to the German top division, it is yet unknown exactly what role he will play in Nico Kovac’s team. However, Jobe ought to grow into a superb midfield player if his brother’s development is any indication.
