Despite rumors that he is considering a move to Liverpool, Alexander Isak has already expressed his sentiments about playing at Anfield.
Isak has become as one of the most sought-after players in world football after scoring 27 goals in 42 games across all competitions for Newcastle United during the 24–25 season.
The 25-year-old has been linked to teams including Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain in recent months.
However, it has been said that Newcastle’s unwillingness to sell might make a deal extremely challenging.
According to a fresh source this week, Liverpool is still interested in Isak but acknowledges that a deal is difficult.
Lewis Steele of the Daily Mail stated: “Isak must be sold for a ballpark amount of £130 million to £140 million since Newcastle does not want to sell him for a low price.
“Is it feasible for Liverpool to spend that in the summer after they bought Florian Wirtz? It’s difficult to see, but I wouldn’t rule it out entirely.”
To the delight of Liverpool supporters, Isak referred to Anfield as one of the greatest places he has ever played at in 2024.
To Sky Sports, he declared: “Anfield is good, very good.”
Isak mentioned in a different interview that he’really enjoys’ playing against Liverpool.
“I think they’re not too different from ourselves, a high-pressing team and a direct team, which can lead to many counter-opportunities,” he told The Gazette in March. “That’s the game I like,” he said.
“I think I’ve had pretty good success before, I feel good and enjoy playing against them.”
Reds supporters have developed a fresh theory on social media that could lead to Liverpool acquiring Isak.
The fact that Newcastle sought to recruit Hugo Ekitike before to purchasing Isak has been brought up by supporters. Now that the Frankfurt striker is free to depart, a major transfer drama may ensue.
“Low-key, an Alexander Isak sale actually makes a lot of sense for Newcastle,” one supporter stated. They could finance a complete rebuild—strengthen the defense and bolster the attack—if they receive more than £120 million. Ekitike or Gyökeres may take his place, saving Livramento from having to be sold.
Another person wrote: “Newcastle are going to fleece us £130m+ for Isak and go and get (their original 1st choice target) Ekitike, while making a profit…..”

“A prediction: Don’t be surprised with this outcome if Alexander Isak heats up,” a third fan said. Ekitike to Newcastle, Isak to LFC.
“Ekitiké was young and chose to remain in France in January 2022, despite Newcastle’s last-minute €46 million offer to recruit him. The information is comparable.
Liverpool is nearing a club record agreement to capture German international Florian Wirtz, and they have already acquired Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
Furthermore, there is a lot of talk about Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez joining the champs.
