Delap, wearing the notorious number nine shirt, entered the game as a substitute in the second half of Enzo Maresca’s team’s easy, if lackluster, opening tournament win. Additionally, some fans have expressed their initial thoughts about the rising England star.
Delap Shines on Chelsea Debut

Delap was one of Chelsea’s best players of the evening, even though he only entered the game in the 64th minute. He was a nuisance and showed a desire to rush in behind, hold the ball up, and show off his physical prowess wherever he could.
