Footage of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s first Real Madrid training session emerges and it’s got fans talking

The former Liverpool right-back was introduced as a Real Madrid player on Thursday.

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Real Madrid training video has surfaced online, and fans are all saying the same thing.

Alexander-Arnold, 26, was officially introduced as a Real Madrid player during a ceremony on Thursday.

The former Liverpool right-back impressed those in attendance and watching at home when he transitioned from English to Spanish.

“Thank you so much to President Florentino Perez and Real Madrid for this opportunity,” he stated in his native language.

“Signing with a club like Real Madrid does not happen every day. It is a dream come true. I am really delighted and proud to be here. I’m excited to show the team and the supporters what I can achieve.”

Trent participated at Real Madrid’s training session on Saturday as the club prepares for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, where they will compete in the group stage against Al Hilal, Pachuca, and RB Salzburg.

Fans were eager to comment after seeing footage of the England international taking a corner.

According to one fan, “We’re cooking set pieces next season.”

A different player responded: “I’m not kidding this is the first time I’m seeing us practice corners in training.”

A third explained, “We are going to cook next season.”

A fourth person added: “Him on the left, Güler on the right.” “We should score at least 20 corners next season.”

One of Alexander-Arnold’s most legendary moments in a Liverpool uniform was his fast corner to Divock Origi in the 2019 Champions League semi-final second leg, which helped the Premier League side overcome a three-goal deficit against Barcelona before defeating Spurs in the final.

Trent mentioned his new head coach, Xabi Alonso, as a player he emulates while throwing the ball.

“I think it’s just about replicating the players that I wanted to be when I was younger – the likes of Gerrard, Alonso, who were unbelievable passers of the ball,” Trent told Liverpool.com at the time.

“I’ve always wanted to be able to pass the ball like that. Obviously, I still look up to them a lot, and I occasionally find myself viewing films of them, especially Gerrard. I constantly watch his old highlights and games. He’s still someone I admire and consider an idol.

“It’s simply growing up wanting to be them. I spent a lot of time training my passes, and it’s paid off for me now.
