Man United ‘Have Decided on Next Four Signings’ After Matheus Cunha Deal

Manchester United are clearly set on constructing a side capable of competing in the Premier League. Brazil international Matheus Cunha has joined from Wolves, and the Red Devils have apparently settled on their next four signings.

United finished 15th in the Premier League table in 2024-25, their lowest position since 1992, when England’s top division was rebranded. Ruben Amorim took over for Erik ten Hag in November, but he struggled to convince his Premier League players to listen.

While the narrative was slightly different in the Europa League, Amorim’s team nevertheless fell short at the final hurdle, losing to Tottenham in Bilbao and thus missing out on a place in the Champions League next season. Despite their disastrous season, Manchester United retains the capacity to attract top talent because to their stature.

Four Signings Man Utd Want Done After Cunha Deal

Ruben Amorim’s squad could be significantly improved

According to reputable reports, Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo wants to finalize a move to Old Trafford, and he is the first player Man Utd are set to sign following the signing of Cunha, who impressed during a recent World Cup qualifier between Brazil and Paraguay. Tottenham pose a genuine threat now that Mbeumo’s former boss Thomas Frank has replaced Ange Postecoglou in north London, but United remain optimistic that this transfer will be completed.

According to the Manchester Evening News (MEN), United “remain hungry to sign a striker” in the coming weeks. While top target Liam Delap has already joined Chelsea, there are other intriguing possibilities on the table, including Sporting’s prolific centre-forward Viktor Gyokeres and Napoli’s Victor Ozimhen. Rasmus Hojlund, Manchester United’s current underperforming striker, faces an uncertain future.

According to the MEN, United are looking to sign a midfielder, an area of the pitch where Amorim’s side could benefit significantly. Christian Eriksen is no longer with us, while the destinies of Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro remain unknown. The signing of a talented center midfielder would improve United’s prospects of competing in the Premier League next season.

Manchester United are looking for a new goalkeeper as their fourth signing. It’s unknown whether Altay Bayindir will stay at Old Trafford, and Amorim wants a goalkeeper who can compete with Andre Onana for the number one spot. Many United fans have lost faith in Onana and would welcome the entrance of a top-tier new goalkeeper, with Argentina star Emiliano Martinez being mentioned as a possible replacement.
