When asked what he thought of Chelsea’s off-season preparations, Jose Mourinho delivered a direct assessment.

The Blues qualified for the Europa Conference League for the upcoming season by finishing sixth in the Premier League standings. Last month, Mauricio Pochettino left Stamford Bridge with mutual consent, and the team has been busy selecting his replacement.

The best candidate for Chelsea’s next manager position has been determined to be Enzo Maresca. Maresca has not yet confirmed his appointment, but it is anticipated that he will replace Leicester City as the Blues’ manager.

Following his resignation as Roma manager in January, Mourinho has also been unemployed. However, as he starts his next position in professional football, the former Chelsea manager has been named Fenerbahce’s manager.

Mourinho was present at Wembley Stadium on Saturday for Real Madrid vs. Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League final. In an interview with TNT Sports, the 61-year-old was asked to comment on his former team, Chelsea.

In response to a question about Chelsea’s current circumstances following Pochettino’s departure on TNT Sports, Mourinho said, “I have no idea.”

Mourinho continued by discussing the current state of Tottenham Hotspur. In addition to his two stints as Chelsea’s manager, Mourinho led Spurs for eighteen months between 2019 and 21.

“Tottenham I have a thought: Tottenham is constantly vying for fourth place, which would be fantastic between fourth, fifth, and sixth. Of course, they can win the Europa League the following season,” Mourinho stated.

“They look [to have] stability, they are investing more, amazing club, amazing facilities, such a beautiful stadium, you can feel it.”

Subsequently, Mourinho echoed his doubts about what lies ahead at Stamford Bridge in another statement regarding Chelsea. “I really don’t know Chelsea,” the former Blues manager remarked.
