Marquinhos aims hilarious dig at Micah Richards during CBS interview after winning Champions League with PSG

Following his first Champions League trophy lift, Marquinhos spoke with CBS Sports.

After winning his first Champions League title with PSG, Marquinhos made a hilarious jab at Micah Richards on CBS Sports.

After PSG defeated Inter Milan 5-0 at the Allianz Arena, the captain raised the trophy.

Luis Enrique’s team put up a strong show, dominating their opponents with constant attacking and pressing tactics.

Achraf Hakimi, a right-back, gave them the lead in just twelve minutes, and Desire Doue doubled the lead eight minutes later.

After halftime, the 19-year-old scored his second goal, while Senny Mayulu, an academy graduate, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia also scored.

For Marquinhos, who was a member of the PSG team that lost to Bayern Munich in the 2020 championship game, it was an especially memorable occasion.

He may now declare himself a Champions League winner after five years.

Following the trophy lift and festivities, he was asked to talk on CBS Sports, where co-presenter Kate Scott translated into English for the audience as Thierry Henry asked questions in French.

However, Marquinhos did say something in English since he couldn’t help but poke fun of Richards.

The Brazil center-back complied with the former Manchester City defender’s request to hold Marquinhos’ medal.

Then Henry said, “That’s because he never won it.”

Richards was told by Marquinhos, “This is mine now. I was just like you.

After six seconds of injury time, the referee blew the final whistle, but Henry reported that the PSG captain had already started crying.

“So many fans have been with us through all these years,” Marquinhos continued, with Scott interpreting into English once more. And I have no idea what’s happening in Paris at the moment.

“This is the day they shine. Together, we will celebrate it in Paris.

I want to savor the now. I’m thinking about the 12 years [with the club] right now.

“Every player that has played for the club over the years with me, every experience I’ve had there, and everything the club has done to reach this position together. In a 5-0 final, there is a flurry of emotions.
