The team was ousted by Arsenal in the Champions League and lost two big trophies to its rivals. But the season isn’t entirely defined by it. Positives might still be found, including notable instances of individual genius. Our decision to rank the campaign’s top 10 players was influenced by those performances.

10. Güler Arda

Güler, who is still only 19, has advanced significantly this season. He has made a compelling argument for additional playing time with five goals and eight assists. In close games, his ball-smartness and ability to see space between the lines have made a difference.

6. Tchouaméni, Aurélien

6. Tchouaméni, Aurélien

Silently important. Others have been able to shine because of his defensive work. Due to injuries in the squad, he has played centre-back more frequently this season, although he has never voiced any complaints.
