Xabi Alonso already has first three Real Madrid signings lined up after Trent Alexander-Arnold

Xabi Alonso is still being linked to a move to Real Madrid, but it has been stated that he has chosen his first three acquisitions.

The former Spain midfielder was linked to teams like Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Madrid last summer.

However, following an incredible season that resulted in the Bundesliga title, Alonso committed his immediate future to Bayer Leverkusen.

Alonso is expected to depart Leverkusen and succeed Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid as the summer draws near, according to numerous reports.

Florian Plenttenberg, a correspondent for Sky Sports Germany, said on social media: “BREAKING EXCL | Now that it’s real, Xabi #Alonso has told Bayer 04 Leverkusen that he will be leaving the team at the end of the current campaign. He is going to sign with Real Madrid!

“Alonso may announce it himself at today’s press conference.”

Alonso confirmed his departure in a statement regarding his future on Friday afternoon, saying, “The club and I have agreed that these two last games will be my last as Bayer Leverkusen coach.”

According to reports, Alonso has identified three spots he wants the team to bolster before the transfer market opens.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, a full-back who stated his intention to quit Liverpool on Monday, is expected to join Madrid’s roster.

Madrid also wants to add a midfielder, a left defender, and a center back to their roster, according to Spanish news source MARCA.

The primary center-back target has reportedly been identified as Dean Huijsen, a young player from Bournemouth.

Huijsen has been linked to teams like Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Real Madrid following an outstanding Premier League season.

After losing to Arsenal in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, Madrid has had a dismal start to the season.

They are presently four points behind Barcelona in the competition to win La Liga, and the two teams will play each other this weekend.
