New video shows Jude Bellingham acting “classlessly” at Real Madrid’s guard of honour as they picked up their Copa del Rey runners-up trophies on Saturday night. Barcelona won 3-2, earning their first trophy of the year, but a lot of the criticism has been directed at their opponents’ lack of grace.
After throwing ice at the referee and needing to be detained by multiple staff members after the game, Antonio Rudiger’s actions were perhaps the main cause of the incident’s sour tone. After the final whistle, Lucas Vazquez was one of three players sent off, and he now risks a lengthy suspension.
Long before the game, tensions had been building, and it was rumoured that Los Blancos had contemplated withdrawing from the final after finding out that the referee, Ricardo De Burgos Bengoetxea, was one of several referees they feel are biassed against them. However, it takes something remarkable to take Florentino Perez’s place, and Bellingham has somehow succeeded in doing so.
The ‘Classless’ Act of Jude Bellingham During the Guard of Honour
The Englishman barely gave the Barcelona players a nod.

Bellingham, who moved to the Spanish city two summers ago, has acquired some unwanted characteristics. As many might infer, his complete intolerance for defeat is among the most noteworthy. Although his ferocious will can work to his advantage, it has also resulted in multiple instances where he has been accused of “throwing his toys out of the pram.”
The Englishman was the only Real Madrid player to hardly acknowledge his winning teammates when it came time to pick up their silver medals following the loss. Bellingham pushed Raphinha away and disregarded everyone else as his teammates embraced, shook hands, and gave high fives to the victorious squad. View the incident below:
Supporters from Barcelona and beyond have blasted the 22-year-old for his tantrum and following act of stupidity after he was videotaped at halftime criticising the officials for their subpar performance. One X user commented, “So salty,” while another wrote, “Bellingham is a shameful player.” In the meantime, “Shame on him” was written by a third commenter, and
“Bellingham is incredibly conceited. “Classless.”
Real Madrid appears to be finishing the 2024โ2025 season without any hardware to brag about. They may suffer a similar fate in La Liga after losing to Barcelona in the Copa del Rey and being eliminated by Arsenal in the Champions League quarterfinals. They are currently four points behind with five games left. And obviously, that will feel like karma to some people.
