After his stellar start at the club, Barcelona is in advanced talks with manager Hansi Flick about a possible contract extension. Fabrizio Romano claims that talks are still going on between Flick’s representatives and the club’s leadership, which includes director Deco and president Joan Laporta.
Romano observes that Flick has demonstrated a notable professional demeanour by staying committed to his current position and not pursuing a deal. Rather, he is putting the team’s success first and is totally focused on winning championships.
Flick’s agency are in charge of the renewal process despite the contract negotiations, and Barcelona is apparently quite happy with his performance thus far this season. With the goal of extending Flick’s contract for an additional year, till 2027, Romano thinks a deal is likely to be struck.
Romano warns that the procedure won’t be completed in the next few days and will require some time. With the Copa del Rey being the first big championship Barcelona will contend for, beginning with their next match against Real Madrid, Flick’s primary emphasis is still on the pitch for the time being.
All things considered, it appears that Barcelona is eager to retain Flick as manager, and the coach’s spectacular season debut has set the stage for a possible long-term agreement.
