When Real Madrid fell to Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final, players Vinicius Jr. and Antonio Rudiger went utterly crazy.
Vinicius Jr. has come under fire for his actions after Real Madrid’s catastrophic defeat at the hands of Barcelona.
Jules Kounde gave the Blaugrana the victory in the 116th minute of the contentious and tumultuous Copa del Rey final, defeating Los Blancos.
Before Kylian Mbappe and Aurelien Tchouameni scored to put Real ahead, Pedri gave Barca a 1-0 lead with a spectacular shot.
Ferran Torres tied the score, then Kounde gave the Catalan powerhouses the lead again in extra time when Raphinha was sent out for diving and a last-minute penalty was ruled out.
Real, who had criticised the referee in a statement before the match and apparently thought about not participating, lost it all when their late penalty was called off for offside in the build-up.
Antonio Rudiger seemed to throw ice packs at the man in the middle, and Vinicius Jr. ran on the pitch in rage and threw his arm. Both players were sent off in stoppage time for their actions after Barcelona was awarded a free kick after Mbappe was given a penalty.

On the bench, all three of them lost their composure. After battling an injury, Vinicius was replaced by Brahim Diaz, but he became enraged when a decision did not suit his squad and received a lot of negative feedback online.

“Rudiger and Vinicius deserve a 10-match ban,” one X fan wrote. They have no right to play football.”
Another said: “The referee’s attitude was in favour of Real Madrid the entire time, and the players’ attitude was the opposite.” It’s really embarrassing. Rudiger and Vinicius were hurling objects at the referee. A sad weekend for this club’s reputation.
Another said: “Rudiger and Vinicius deserve a 10+ match ban for their behaviour yet the will walk away without punishment, but no matter because they have been beaten down and completely crushed.”
A fourth screamed: “This is abhorrent. The worst conduct I’ve ever witnessed from a large squad or club.
A dismissal has not yet been formally confirmed, but Vinicius or Jude Bellingham were also sent off for their post-match antics, according to @Rodra10_97, a journalist for Relevo.
Real Madrid could finish the season without a title, which would put more pressure on Carlo Ancelotti, given that they are behind Barcelona in La Liga and were knocked out of the Champions League by Arsenal.
