Man Utd fans can’t believe what Andre Onana did immediately after Harry Maguire completed stunning comeback vs Lyon

Andre Onana, the custodian for Manchester United, had a rollercoaster ride during the quarterfinal match of the Europa League against Lyon.

Onana had the last laugh after being referred to as ‘the worst custodian in the history of Manchester United’ prior to the first leg of the match. Man United produced a remarkable comeback in extra time during the second leg of the match at Old Trafford during the second leg.

United had a 4-2 aggregate lead courtesy to two goals scored at Old Trafford, but Lyon tied their quarter-final tie with goals scored just seven minutes apart by Corentin Tolisso and Nicolas Tagliafico. Lyon defeated United to go to the next round.

Lyon played the remaining thirty minutes of extra time with 10 men, but they were still able to draw the game. Because Tolisso had committed a second bookable offence, he was dismissed from the game with only one minute of regular time left.

In the aftermath, Manchester United came dangerously close to experiencing a catastrophe.

Lyon made it 4-2 on the night with goals scored each side of halftime in extra time. The first goal was a clean shot into the bottom corner from the dangerous Rayan Cherki, while the second goal was a penalty kick from Alexandre Lacazette. Both goals were scored in extra time.

The team coached by Ruben Amorim began to make a comeback with six minutes of extra time remaining. After a penalty kick was taken by Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire scored two goals in a single minute.

Immediately following Maguire’s magnificent header that won the game in the opening minute of extra time, Onana experienced a terrifying case of cramping.

Onana’s ailment drew the attention of fans on social media, despite the fact that the condition is known to affect football players who are most savagely affected when their side is in the lead late in long European matches. Goalkeepers, on the other hand, are less prone to the condition than the ordinary player on the squad.

“Got a cramp afterwards, dances too much that Onana,” a user on X, which was once known as Twitter, was heard saying.

According to the statement of another user, “Onana going down with cramp sums up that game up.”

“Faked” “Onana kills me bruh,” joked one ecstatic admirer before making an absurd claim. “Onana kills me.” “Went to celebrate a goal and on his way back faked a cramp.”

“Onana celebrating like only a man who’s conceded 4 goals can and then getting cramp,” according to a another user.

It was a commenter on X who queried, “Onana has a cramp for what??????” before another user, unknowingly, revealed the solution in the midst of a flood of emoji: “Onana got cramp from celebrating.”

United will go to the semi-final of the Europa League next month, when they will play Athletic Bilbao. The custodian, who was under fire, soon recovered from his injury.
