Luis Suarez reveals the one question he never asks Lionel Messi

The relationship between Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez is one of thievery.

Given the fact that they have competed in 291 games together at Barcelona and Inter Miami, this should not come as a significant surprise.

They have also spent their vacations together with their families, which is another indication of how close they are off the field.

Both Messi and Suarez are well aware that the conclusion of their careers is drawing nearer than they would like to acknowledge, given that Messi is 37 years old and Suarez is 38 years old.

On the other hand, neither appears to be slowing down, particularly Messi in light of the fact that the World Cup is held in 2026.

During the middle of the tournament, Messi will turn 39 years old, but it would also be a momentous occasion for the Argentine great, since it would be his sixth World Cup.

There is no other player who has been in as many World Cups as he has, but his long-time adversary Cristiano Ronaldo certainly has the potential to do the same thing if Portugal is able to qualify for the event and he is chosen to be a part of their team.

In a conversation with the Spanish daily El Pais, Suarez revealed that Messi “still has the desire” to compete for Argentina in the tournament that will take place the following year.

Suarez, on the other hand, stated that he has not and will not directly enquire with Messi about the possibility of competing in the World Cup.

“Obviously, after being away from the national team, that feeling starts to fade more on my side than his, but we haven’t really talked about it,” Suarez said to reporters.

“No, no, I don’t even ask him either,” the Uruguayan said a moment later.

“There are some individuals who do not comprehend it.”

I’d like to share a story with you about the punishment that occurred the other day. There were a lot of people rejoicing and getting near to him, including teammates, but I didn’t even glance at him, didn’t make a gesture, or anything else since I already knew him. Other people were getting close to him.

It is possible that being a part of that moment might make me feel even more anxious and give me a greater sense of uncertainty.

“He is already familiar to me, and I don’t bother to enquire about any of that with him. “Only time will tell.”

In spite of the fact that Messi could have the desire to play for Argentina in one more World Cup, Suarez will not be participating in Uruguay’s final World Cup match.

The 38-year-old player resigned from international service in September of last year, having scored 69 goals in 142 games for Uruguay, making him the country’s all-time best striker.

Additionally, he is ranked second on the record for the most appearances, with Diego Godin being the only player to have won more caps.

In addition to participating in four World Cups, Suarez was a member of Uruguay’s team that won the Copa America in 2011. He was honoured as the best player of the competition in that competition.

However, at this point, his only concentration is on bringing more prize money to Inter Miami, where he plays with his close friend Messi.
