The agent of a Liverpool player has angered fans by expressing a want to play for Real Madrid.
The sagas surrounding Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Mo Salah have left Liverpool supporters unhappy despite the fact that they are in a strong position to win the Premier League.
The contracts of all three expire in the summer, and Alexander-Arnold looks to be leaving as the England international is expected to sign a free agent contract with Real Madrid.
However, based on a new update on the situation, there is hope that Salah and Virgil van Dijk will remain after this season.
There has been “progress” in discussions, Van Dijk stated, although there are rumours that Salah is nearing an agreement with Liverpool to extend his contract.
However, recent comments made by the agent of another key player have stoked rumours that he is leaving for Real Madrid.
Ryan Gravenberch had a somewhat lacklustre debut season at Anfield after joining Liverpool for £34 million from Bayern Munich.
However, under Arne Slot, the former Ajax player has been revived and is among Liverpool’s best players as they aim for their 20th league championship.
With a contract through 2028, the Netherlands player is among the first names on the teamsheet. His long-time agent, Jose Fortes Rodriguez, has stated that his agency “would love” for him to play for the 15-time European winners.
He did, however, acknowledge that given the price Liverpool would demand, it would be “impossible” to happen.
“Barca called us when Ryan was sixteen,” he informed MARCA.
“His father and I placed a higher priority on his growth than their desire to sign him. He is suitable for Real Madrid. Although Liverpool would demand a large sum of money, we would really like for him to play for them. I am aware that they have had their sights set on him, but it is now impossible.

Martin Zubimendi was a priority target for Liverpool in the summer, but the Spain international chose to remain with Real Sociedad.
Gravenberch took on the duty after being promoted to the No. 6 spot. He is one of Liverpool’s most reliable players and has occasionally filled in at centre defence.
Gravenberch also praised Slot in December for providing him the self-assurance he needed to regain his form.
It’s a little different now because I play a lot of games as a starter. “I’m glad I can show myself again, and the coach gave me confidence when I needed it,” Gravenberch said to TNT Sports.
“Just the run of games, you really need it to be honest,” he stated.
“It may be rather challenging at times. For instance, if you’re on the bench one game and then do well the next, you’ll be on the bench for ten minutes, and the ten minutes won’t go as planned.
It’s challenging when you’re benched again in the next game.
“So yeah, just the run of games – that gives you the confidence if you’re doing good on the pitch.”
Liverpool will play West Ham at Anfield in an attempt to recover from their 3-2 setback to Fulham on Sunday.
