Following the star forward’s contract update, Carragher also shared content on social media.
He wrote the following as a remark on Salah’s social media post: “The obsession continues.”
Salah’s answer to a contract communication earlier this year is referenced in Carragher’s three-word remark.
“It’s obviously a really important time for all three players, we know that, but I think rather than speak about Trent Alexander-Arnold or Mo Salah, I’d probably like to pay tribute to Virgil van Dijk,” the Reds legend said, criticising the 32-year-old and questioning how he has handled his contract situation. Given how he has handled it, I believe he has come across as a true statesman.
“He’s been questioned, and he’s blown it away. He wants to give Liverpool his best effort and is here to win the league. Hopefully, he signs. I believe that the other two might be able to learn from Virgil van Dijk.
Salah uploaded the video of Carragher sharing his opinions, along with the message: “I’m starting to think you’re obsessed with me.”
