A Real Madrid star who is being referred to as Manchester United’s “most important player” is expected to get a massive offer of £85 million from Manchester United next week.
In an effort to build upon what has been a season that they will never forget in the Premier League, Manchester United is planning to bring in a number of reinforcements during the summer player transfer window.
The Red Devils are now in 13th place and are in serious need of winning the Europa League in order to qualify for the Champions League for the next season. As a result, it is anticipated that they will make a number of changes throughout the summer, including a large number of players coming in and leaving.
A number of players continue to be linked with a move to Old Trafford, and recent rumours in Spain state that they are considering making a surprise approach for Real star Federico Valverde that would cost €100 million (£85 million).
Valverde is one of the first names on the teamsheet for the 15-time European winners. He has demonstrated an unbelievable depth of flexibility by playing in a variety of midfield positions, as well as on the right flank and at right defence.
With eight goals and seven assists in 46 games across all competitions so far this season, the Uruguayan has proven himself to be a deserving bearer of the captain’s armband. This is especially true in situations where Luka Modric or Lucas Vazquez have not been selected to start.
Man United was getting ready to lavish a lot of money on Valverde.
According to Fichajes, United see him as a “key player in their new project” and believe that a deal would not only “strengthen the team in the short term, but also to establish a solid foundation for the future.” This is despite the fact that he is still an important part of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad and has a contract with Real that is set to expire in 2029.
The upper management of United considers him to be a “player with leadership and potential,” but it is not yet clear whether Real would be prepared to part with one of their most prized assets.
Vini Jr., one of the superstars on Real’s team, has referred to Valverde as “the important player in our squad” and made the statement that he “does everything in a fantastic way.”
Ancelotti, in the meantime, stated that he had “no words” to praise Valverde after his outstanding performance in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 match against Atletico Madrid. He also stated that Valverde “has contributed a lot to the team.”
After joining Real from Penarol in 2016, Valverde began his career by playing for the Castilla (reserve) squad. He went on to make 305 appearances for Real, during which time he won three La Liga championships and two Champions Leagues.
