The 2025–26 home, away, and third kit prototype designs have leaked despite Liverpool’s decision to transfer from Nike to Adidas as their kit provider for the upcoming campaign.
According to Footy Headlines, Liverpool Shirts Museum (@LivShirtsMuseum) posted all three kits on X. Since Arne Slot’s Reds have signed a multi-year, £50 million deal with Adidas, they won’t be worn.
Following agreements with Warrior and New Balance under Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool have been with Nike since June 2020. Adidas is probably eager to create better uniforms than the ones that the probable Premier League winners would have worn had they continued to use the sports manufacturer’s primary rival.
Leaked: Liverpool’s 2025–2026 Nike Kits
The most notable kit was the third one.
Naturally, the home uniform is red, but unlike in previous years, it has no other colours on the collar or sleeves, and they would have been sporting a shirt with a v-neck. The iconic Nike swoosh, which was in use from 1978 to 1985, also has the brand’s name above it.
The club badge, Nike swoosh, and sponsors are all red on the away uniform, which has a “off-white to white transition with vertical stripes” design similar to a polo shirt. With more red added, it’s not all that different from the white stripe they’ve worn away from home this season.
The third kit is a ‘iconic Total 90’ design, which may make fans regret the supplier change. It has resemblances to the Nike uniforms from 2004–05, including the fashionable style that Adriano and Ronaldinho achieved for Brazil. Red lines encircle the sponsor and club emblem, which has been shifted to the centre of the black jersey.
What Fans Are Saying About Nike Prototype Kits
Most are happy to be switching to Adidas
The three uniforms that players like Cody Gakpo, Alexis Mac Allister, and Mohamed Salah—who is said to have reached an agreement on a two-year contract extension—would have worn if the team had stuck with Nike did not excite Liverpool supporters. They believe the massive American sportswear company didn’t work hard enough.
A member wrote, “The Adidas kits are way better glad we’re moving back to them.”
“Awful,” said another fan. Simply awful.
A supporter commented: “That home one just looks like the 22/23 one with dirt on it.”
During their previous agreement, Adidas created some of Liverpool’s most recognisable uniforms, such as the 2007 strip that saw Rafa Benitez’s team lose 3-0 to AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League final. The outfit for their 2005 “Miracle in Istanbul” was designed by Reebok. Fans will be hoping that the new Adidas uniforms they receive will bring back similar memories.
