The supporters of Manchester United are under the impression that Marcus Rashford has made a dig at Ruben Amorim, the former manager of the club, following Aston Villa’s victory in the FA Cup quarterfinals.
Following their victory over Preston North End in the FA Cup quarterfinals on Sunday afternoon, Rashford was instrumental in Villa’s ability to secure a spot at Wembley Stadium.
Although the Championship team was able to keep Villa at a scoreless draw going into halftime, Unai Emery’s team advanced to the penultimate round thanks to two goals scored by Rashford in a short period of time, followed by a third goal scored by Jacob Ramsey a few minutes later.
The star player Rashford addressed the media immediately after the game, and fans are convinced that he took advantage of the opportunity to make a veiled jab at Amorim, who had previously served as the manager of United.
Following what appeared to be a disagreement with the new manager Amorim for a number of reasons, Rashford left his boyhood club, United, on loan in February. This occurred after he had played for United for twenty years.
Since that time, the English winger has flourished at Villa, where he has scored two goals and assisted on four others in his first ten appearances. Fans believe that he has called out Amorim and United as a result of his best performance for his new club.
During an interview with BBC Sport following the victory, the 27-year-old player expressed his excitement by saying, “It’s a great feeling, I feel like I’ve been getting fitter and playing better football since I’ve been here.” Obviously, it is heartening for a forward to score a goal, and we can only hope that this trend continues.
“One step at a time. I believe there is still room for improvement in my fitness level. Before I joined them, I had a significant amount of football that I had missed. “At the moment, my body is feeling good, I have no injuries, and I am enjoying my football, so everything is good for the time being.”
Fans are certain that Rashford wanted to convey a message to his former manager prior to the reopening of the transfer window in the summer. This is in response to Rashford’s comments, which have caused fans to react.
“Two goals and enjoying his football again?,” a fan wrote in a post that was published on X. Through his actions, Rashford is making it abundantly clear to Amorim and INEOS.
In contrast, another commented: “What a horrendous decision to get rid of Rashford all Amorim had to do was put an arm around him instead threw him under the bus, appalling management.”
Additionally, one person said: “Amorim came into Manchester United with hate for rashford and that’s just the plain truth.”
