Lionel Messi didn’t hesitate when naming the best three players in the Premier League from his era

Lionel Messi, a legend from Argentina, has been known to name the three players who are considered to be the best in the Premier League.

Messi, who currently plays for Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, is widely considered to be among the very best players who have ever graced a football pitch.

Not only did the Argentine win a multitude of trophies during his time spent playing football in Europe, but he also has eight Ballon d’Or awards to his name.

The 37-year-old player is currently playing for Inter Miami, a team that competes in Major League Soccer. David Beckham, a former player for England and Manchester United, is a co-owner stakeholder in Inter Miami.

Upon his relocation to Miami, Lionel Messi has been joined by Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets, all of whom were Messi’s former teammates at Barcelona.

In spite of the fact that Messi has accomplished everything, it is undeniable that he has never participated in the English game. This fact has left a great number of fans all over the country feeling dissatisfied.

Nevertheless, Messi has described in the past the three players who were the most outstanding in the Premier League during his time period.

Three of the best players in the Premier League during Lionel Messi’s era are named by him.

During his speech in 2012, Messi mentioned notable players such as Wayne Rooney, Sergio Aguero, and Robin van Persie.

There are a number of players in the Premier League who are of high quality, including Kun Aguero, who is a friend of mine. “I really like how he plays,” he disclosed in an interview that takes place in the past.

“Rooney [and] Van Persie are playing really well – they are great players.”

In addition to having a legendary career at Manchester City, Aguero is the club’s all-time leading goal scorer with 260 goals. Messi was one of the players with whom Aguero played at the international level.

His tenure at the Etihad Stadium spanned a decade, during which time he amassed an impressive five league titles.

The winner of the Ballon d’Or eight times also mentioned Rooney and Van Persie, both of whom had successful careers at Old Trafford during their respective lifetimes.

Similar to Aguero, Rooney was a member of United and won five league titles while also scoring 253 goals for the club.

Van Persie has only won one league championship, but he was a prolific player in the Premier League. He scored 96 league goals for Arsenal and 48 league goals for United. Van Persie has finished his career with just one league title.
