The players at Manchester United have expressed their thoughts on the possibility of Jadon Sancho returning to the club, according to a new report that has taken the internet by storm.
Sancho, who is 25 years old, is currently on loan at Chelsea from Manchester United. Over the course of his time at Old Trafford, he fell out of favour with Erik ten Hag, who was the manager of Manchester United at the time.
During the summer of 2017, he joined Enzo Maresca’s team initially on loan, but the deal reportedly included an obligation to buy, which was estimated to be worth between twenty and twenty-five million pounds.
After the conclusion of the 2024–2025 season, it is not yet clear whether the former Borussia Dortmund winger will continue to play for the club in west London or whether he will go back to his parent club.
However, if Chelsea does not make his loan a permanent switch, they will be required to pay a penalty that is reportedly worth £5 million.
United “players would have major misgivings about the remote possibility of Jadon Sancho playing for the club again as they do not believe he is good enough,” according to a new report written by Samuel Luckhurst, a journalist for the Manchester Evening News. Luckhurst explained that United players would have these thoughts.
It is believed that Sancho’s personality does not pose a problem; however, senior members of the United dressing room believed that he “struggled to cope with the demands” of playing for the club.
With 29 appearances for the Blues this season, the winger, who has won 23 caps for England, has recorded two goals and seven assists. He has also been named to the England national team.
When asked if Sancho no longer desired to represent the club during a press conference in February, United head coach Ruben Amorim responded, “I don’t know.” Sancho had previously expressed his desire to continue representing the club. I’m just concentrating on my players and the issues that I’m facing. The issue with Sancho is not mine.
Due to the fact that he has spent two seasons at Dortmund, the England international player who was born in Camberwell is no stranger to playing in Europe. It is possible that he will be playing on the continent once more during the upcoming season.
As per Football Italia, both Roma and Lazio, two of Sancho’s rivals in Serie A, have expressed keen interest in acquiring his services. In the past, he had been mentioned in connection with a transfer to Juventus; however, this transfer did not take place.
Earlier in the season, Sancho gave an interview to Chelsea.com in which he expressed his joy at having the opportunity to talk about how he “always supported Chelsea as a kid.”
Despite the fact that it is still a little strange to me, Sancho remarked that it is always nice to be at home.
Ever since I was a child, I have been a fan of Chelsea Football Club because of Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba. I had a conversation with Enzo [Maresca] prior to my arrival, and he expressed his intention to collaborate with me. He walked me through his plans for where he sees me becoming a member of the team and explained to me how I could be of assistance to the team as it moves forward. That led me to this location. He was able to get me to feel at ease. On the Facetime call that we had, I liked the energy that he had.
Liverpool are currently in 13th place in the Premier League, while Chelsea are currently in fourth place.
