Trent Alexander-Arnold’s agent ‘holds talks’ with shock club over transfer that could see him snub Real Madrid

In the midst of his imminent transfer to Real Madrid, it has been reported that Trent Alexander-Arnold’s agent has engaged in discussions with another club.

Since the beginning of the 24/25 season, Alexander-Arnold’s future has been a major topic of discussion. This is due to the fact that his contract is approaching its expiration date at the conclusion of the season.

During the course of the past few months, there has been a significant amount of speculation that the Spanish La Liga giants Madrid have identified Alexander-Arnold as a primary target heading into the transfer window.

At the beginning of the week, it was reported that a deal to transport the Englishman to the capital of Spain is getting closer and closer to being finalised.

Alexander-Arnold’s agent, on the other hand, reportedly met with Barcelona, Madrid’s fierce rivals, as reported by the Spanish news outlet AS.

In an interview with SER Catalunya, journalist Sique Rodriguez gave the following statement: “There have been meetings, both recently and a few years ago, to assess whether Alexander-Arnold could sign for Bar.

Before Xavi Hernández and Jordi Cruyff joined the team, he was already on the radar of Barcelona. Additionally, there was a meeting that was held in an attempt to discuss his signing.

It would appear that Barcelona and Alexander-Arnold have been unable to reach a consensus on a deal, as the 26-year-old player is now on the verge of moving to the Bernabeu of Real Madrid.

According to an interview that Alexander-Arnold gave to GQ in the year 2020, Barcelona is one of his favourite teams.

In addition to Liverpool, which team is my favourite? That would be Barcelona,” he stated. It seems to me that they share some of the same beliefs and values as Liverpool and Liverpool. They enjoy bringing players through the academy as much as possible. Messi and that special Barcelona team with Iniesta, Xavi, and Henry Eto’o were constantly on my television screen as I grew up.

“Where I’m at is that as a local player and a Liverpool fan, Liverpool are in a position where they’re competing for the league and a European Cup every year,” Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher said in response to Alexander-Arnold’s possible transfer to Madrid. Carragher’s comments were made on the Stick To Football podcast, which was brought to you by Sky Bet.

On the other hand, if you are a local player and a fan of Liverpool, I am just disappointed that he does not believe that this is the end of the story. “I am putting myself in his position, where I would be thinking that we could go level with Manchester United in league trophies, I have another seven or eight years at Liverpool, and I want to get three or four ahead of them, with a couple more European Cups,” I am saying this because I am putting myself in his shoes.
