According to talkSPORT’s understanding, Trent Alexander-Arnold has settled on the decision to join Real Madrid this summer.
After reaching an agreement with the Spanish giants on personal terms for a five-year contract worth more than £220,000 per week, the Liverpool star will be leaving Anfield. This comes as a devastating blow to Arne Slot’s side of the equation.
Real Madrid has been in contact with the England international player since the beginning of the year. A proposal from the Spanish club was made to Liverpool during the window window, but Liverpool declined it.
Due to the fact that Alexander-Arnold’s contract will expire this summer, the defender will be able to move on a free transfer rather than being bound by a contract.
At the end of several months of negotiations, the 26-year-old player has decided to relocate to Madrid, where he will begin his football career beginning with the upcoming season.
When supporters hear the news, it will be a huge disappointment because they will be losing someone who has been a pillar of their team during one of the most successful periods in recent history.
Alexander-Arnold is widely regarded as one of the best right-backs in the world of football. In addition, he has been a fan of Liverpool since he was a young boy.
Under Jurgen Klopp’s illustrious leadership, he was instrumental in the team’s success in both the Premier League and the Champions League.
