Isak is Slot’s better choice.
Isak would be the obvious choice if Slot had to choose just one man based on these figures. The former Real Sociedad player would be prepared and ready to take the goalscoring mantle, especially if Salah also departs the team. He has shown that he is a greater threat inside the penalty area while still giving his teammates more opportunities.
If Salah stays, there’s a chance that the two will try to work in too similar fields and obstruct each other. Perhaps the more fluid Alvarez would be the better option in such scenario. However, Isak is their man if they want a dangerous player who will complement Liverpool’s current roster rather than add to it.
