Prior to hanging up his boots, Thomas Gravesen, a former international player for Denmark, would frequently use the pre-season to hone his skills on Call of Duty, and he was pretty good at it.
In addition to playing for Everton in the Premier League and Celtic for a period of time, Gravesen was able to find the time to earn 66 senior caps for his national team. His teammates referred to him as “Mad Dog.”
He even played for Real Madrid, leaving the Toffees in 2005 for Los Blancos for a fee of only £2.5 million. His departure from the Toffees was a shocking one.
Although he may have retired from football sixteen years ago, the controversial midfielder has been living the high life ever since. He has made certain that his name has not been absent from the attention of the media for an excessively long period of time.
As a result of his lucrative investments, Gravesen is reportedly worth an astounding one hundred million pounds, and he resides in a gated community with his model girlfriend, Kamila Persse.
In addition to that, he is a frequent visitor to the pool tables in Las Vegas, which affords him the opportunity to put his well-honed gaming skills to good use. As a matter of fact, it was disclosed in the year 2023 that the individual who is now 49 years old used to be a bit of a pool shark during his time with Celtic.
During his appearance on the Undr The Cosh podcast, Paul Caddis, a former teammate of Hoops, shared some information with the hosts of the podcast about the workings of the organisation.
“He used to bring us all in, all the young lads, for ’25 quid a head,'” Caddis said referring to the situation. To our knowledge, he never played for anything other than financial gain. The way he would say it was, “Everyone put their money in.” In the past, it used to cost approximately 250 pounds to sit in there. “Two minutes, gentlemen,” the speaker said.
Caddis continued to reminisce about the game by saying, “And he’d run down the stairs at Celtic Park.”
“As we were looking out the window, he would open his boot and bring out this f***ing Ronnie O’Sullivan signed pool cue, snooker cue, screw it up,” my friend said.
Following that, Caddis laughed at the fact that the younger members of Celtic’s team would be required to use pool cues that were “run of the mill horrendous,” while Gravesen would be able to move around with “this shiny thing.”
Continued his statement by saying, “He just cleaned up, it was unbelievable.” He used to steal everything, including all of the money. “He was a multi-millionaire, as a matter of fact.”
Caddis also disclosed that the midfielder would be returning to Denmark rather than travelling with the boys to participate in the pre-season of the Scottish Premiership.
He stated, “During the preseason, he would travel back to Denmark and stay in either his mother’s or his father’s house, in an attic that was probably about the size of this full table.” During the past six weeks, he has been sitting on his PlayStation in this small attic room, which is a very small room.
At one point, he was considered to be either the number one or number two player for Call of Duty, he continued.
