According to a contentious internet petition, Liverpool should transfer any possible triumph parade to London because the Reds have a bigger following in the south than Merseyside. With a 13-point advantage over Arsenal, Arne Slot’s club is poised to win the Premier League for the second time in five years.
Their most recent title victory was in 2020, however they were unable to celebrate in front of supporters because of COVID-19 restrictions. Additionally, there was no citywide procession, unlike the ones that followed their Champions League victory in 2019 or their League Cup and FA Cup victories two seasons prior. Those celebrations drew huge crowds, with an estimated 750,000 people attending the open-top bus parade to bring Liverpool to a glorious standstill. But now, a fan using the alias “King Koppite” is calling for this year’s possible celebration to take place in the capital.
Petition To Stage Liverpool’s Trophy Parade in London
It has nearly 200 signatures at the time of writing
“Like many other devoted Liverpool FC supporters, I live in London, which is far from our team’s home city in the North,” reads the petition, which was created on Change.org by “King Koppite.” The majority of Liverpool FC’s ardent supporters reside in the South of England and beyond, making it an expensive and time-consuming trip for us each time we want to participate in the team’s victory parades.
“What we suggest is acknowledging Liverpool’s national—even international—reach rather than discounting the club’s local roots. It would only be more practical and inclusive to move the title parade to London given the large number of Liverpool FC followers in the South.

The following is added: “According to statistics, London has the highest concentration of football fans in all of England (BBC Radio 5 Live’s Football Fans Census, 2019).” More supporters would have the chance to join in the celebration if the parade were moved to the nation’s capital, strengthening the sense of togetherness and triumph.
