After listening to what Alisson Becker had to say to them, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards were observed leaving the set of CBS Sports.
In Liverpool’s match against Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, the Brazilian custodian Alisson was the highlight of the show. He put on a spectacular performance that made him the star of the show.
Before Harvey Elliott scored in the 87th minute to secure a crucial 1-0 victory at the Parc des Princes, the 32-year-old custodian made nine saves to keep Paris Saint-Germain at bay throughout the match.
As a consequence of this, Liverpool will have the upper hand when they face each other once more at Anfield the following week.
Immediately following the match, Alisson was being questioned by a number of prominent individuals on CBS Sports, including Carragher, Richards, Thierry Henry, and Kate Scott.
A former player for Manchester City, Richards, was quoted as saying, “Have you seen our show Alisson? Have you viewed the videos that are available online?
Following Alisson’s affirmative response, Richards enquired, “Okay, that’s perfect; so which one is your favourite?”
After that, the former defender made an attempt to win Alisson over by demonstrating his proficiency in Portuguese.
The response that Alisson gave was, “By the way, that is some nice Portuguese. I would have to say that Thierry is a legend.” As I was growing up, I spent a lot of time watching Arsenal games that were played in the early 2000s where he was playing. In other words, it was the only team that was being broadcast on television in Brazil.
During this time, Richards and Carragher got to their feet and left the set, while Alisson continued to compliment Henry. In a humorous tone, Richards mentioned, “I’ve had enough of this.”
After expressing his gratitude to Alisson, the Frenchman proceeded to ask him a more technical question regarding his performance.
Below is a video clip that you can watch.
Elliott, the winner of the match, remarked on Alisson’s extraordinary performance, saying, “This guy is unbelievable.” The very best that the world has to offer. Whenever he shows us a game, he keeps us engaged in a great number of games. In the evening, I was given the chance to repay this individual.
I have no idea what our situation would be if he were not here. It is my hope that he will continue to prevent them from entering, and that we will continue to achieve our goals. A strong performance by the team.”
On Saturday afternoon, Liverpool will play Southampton at Anfield, marking their return to Premier League competition. The match will take place from Saturday to Sunday\
