Going into the summer transfer window, Marcus Rashford’s future at his boyhood club is uncertain due to his unsatisfactory season with Manchester United.

According to reports, Marcus Rashford will speak with the new Manchester United leadership to try and put things right.

Similar to numerous teammates, Rashford has had a challenging season and is facing an uncertain future as the summer transfer window approaches. Following the appointment of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team, United is planning a squad overhaul, and they will consider offers for Rashford, as reported by Mirror Football.

In 40 appearances this season, Rashford has only managed eight goals and five assists, a far cry from the 30 goals and ten assists he managed in a career-best 2022–2023 campaign. In an effort to put things straight, the 26-year-old striker and his representatives are scheduled to meet with Sir Dave Brailsford, Ratcliffe’s right-hand man, The Sun reports.

When the transfer window opens on June 14, Ratcliffe, Brailsford, and the new-look hierarchy—which will include Dan Ashworth as director of football and Jason Wilcox as technical director—plan to completely restructure the United team. With the exception of the young trio Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund, and Kobbie Mainoo, they are open to hearing offers for anyone.

Rashford is reportedly valued at £80 million and has drawn interest from Paris Saint-Germain in the past, despite his decline in performance. According to the report, his off-field antics, which included partying in Belfast and skipping the FA Cup match at Newport in January, are to blame for his relationship with Erik ten Hag having “crumbled.”

Rashford, though, will rebuff any efforts to offload Ten Hag because he is unsure of his role in the reorganization at Old Trafford. In order to secure his spot in the England squad for Euro 2024, he wants to stick with the team he grew up playing for and compete for a starting position.

Ten Hag recently defended Rashford after he was subjected to criticism on social media. “Obviously, I feel a great deal of sympathy for Rashy,” Ten Hag remarked. “He had a fantastic season last year—possibly the best of his career—scoring 30 goals.

He didn’t give the performances this season, and the criticism has been harsh. For him to return to the heights of the previous year, we must support him, and everyone else should too. I believe he needs the assistance. We must all encourage and push him since we all know what he is capable of. He’s capable of more than this year. That was evident when he was exceptionally bright last year.

“I believe that our supporters never leave us. I heard the greeting as we walked into Old Trafford. It was louder on Wednesday than I’ve ever heard. Additionally, the supporters are always there to support the team and there is a strong bond between them and the players.
