Spanish media make their feelings clear on Antony after first Real Betis goal since leaving Man Utd

Antony has scored his first goal for Real Betis, his new club, following his loan move from Manchester United. Following the strike, Spanish media outlets have expressed their opinions on the attacker, expressing their satisfaction with his ability to score.

After leaving Old Trafford during the transfer window in January, the Brazilian player, who is 24 years old, has moved to the Seville club to spend the second half of the season away from the club she previously played for.

As a result of the transfer, Antony has been transferred to the Estadio Benito Villamarin on a loan basis, with no option to purchase. Additionally, the Spanish club is reportedly covering up to 84% of the attacker’s wages in an effort to reduce the amount of money that Ruben Amorim’s team has to pay in wages.
In the summer of 2022, Antony made the move to United after being acquired from Ajax by Erik ten Hag, who was the manager at the time, for an initial transfer fee that was reported to be £82 million.

Nevertheless, it is reasonable to assert that Antony’s contributions to United over the course of the past two and a half seasons have not been sufficient to justify the fee that brought him to Old Trafford. Many people have referred to him as one of the most unsuccessful transfers in the history of the Premier League.

Although Antony has been a member of a United team that has won both the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup during his time with the club, he has only scored 12 goals in 96 games since he joined the club. One of those goals came during the current season.
It was in the 2-2 draw against Athletic Bilbao that Antony made his debut in La Liga. Since then, he has scored his first goal for Betis in the 3-2 loss to Celta Vigo that they suffered away from home.

The first goal was scored by the Brazilian nine minutes into the match, and Diego Llorente quickly followed it up with another goal, giving the away team a 2-0 lead at the halftime break.

As a result of the efforts of Fran Beltran, Javi Rodriguez, and Williet Swedberg, the home team was able to complete a comeback victory after falling behind by two goals in the second half.

In spite of the fact that he was on the losing team, Antony still managed to get his name on the scoresheet at the end of the game. As a result of his scoresheet appearance, he has certainly captured the attention of the Spanish media.

The following is an excerpt from a report that was written by journalist Basilio Garcia and published by Eldes Marque: “The Brazilian striker, in a display of quality, has scored his first goal in LALIGA EA Sports. Although it is not his first match for the Betis, it serves as a calling card for his immense quality with the ball at his feet.”

Despite the fact that the player has not ruled out the possibility of remaining with Manuel Pellegrini’s team beyond the summer, he will need to have discussions with the Betis hierarchy to determine whether or not this will be possible in order to either extend his stay away from Old Trafford or make it permanent.

He stated, “I had a challenging time while I was in England.” The process must be respected by all of us. My appreciation goes out to Manchester.

“I will have to consult with the president in order to determine whether or not I am required to remain for a longer period of time. It is a great feeling to be able to play everything, including scoring goals and providing assists. Currently, it is necessary for me to take pleasure in each day, as well as to assist the team and the manager.
