Newcastle tell 8 players they’re leaving and offer two new deals in Academy overhaul – Report

According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle United’s academy is seeing changes this summer, as a number of young players have been notified that their association with the club will be terminated.

Included in this group are Michael Ndiweni, a 20-year-old forward, and Amadou Diallo, a 21-year-old winger. Both players have participated in Premier League matches this season, most notably in Newcastle’s impressive 4-1 win against Chelsea in November.

Although Ndiweni and Diallo have made significant contributions, the club has informed them that they will not be offered new contracts after this season. Similarly, Scotland U-21 midfielder Lucas de Bolle, Dylan Stephenson, Kyle Crossley, former Spurs defender Jordan Hackett, and goalkeepers Jude Smith and Will Brown will also be released.

Diallo was named as a substitute in Newcastle’s most recent match, a 1-1 draw against Everton, but did not have the opportunity to play. Meanwhile, Ndiweni is now on loan to Annan Athletic, a team in the Scottish League One.

Although the players have appeared in the Premier League, they have not demonstrated sufficient potential to advance within the club.

The senior games represent the last opportunity for a young athlete to make a strong impression, and it is important to note that these individuals were selected based on their athletic abilities as well.

Amongst the departures, there are also indications of continuity and possibility. James Huntley and Ellis Stanton have received new contract offers, demonstrating their significance to the club’s strategic objectives.

Huntley, who is from Ashington, has made a notable impact this season by participating in four matches in the UEFA Youth League, and scoring a goal against Dortmund. Stanton participated in five matches for Newcastle’s U-19 team in the Youth League.

The impressive achievements of Huntley and Stanton have garnered attention from individuals associated in the young program, indicating that they may soon be included in Eddie Howe’s squad.

The manager has demonstrated a willingness to integrate the upcoming generation of talented players at Newcastle United during his tenure at the club. Is it possible for them to forcibly enter?
