BREAKING NEWS: Referee and Var officials Suspended as English FA release final verdict. After Bournemouth appeal disallowed early goal against Liverpool

Luis Diaz scores twice as Liverpool defeats Bournemouth 3-0.

The English FA promptly disregarded Bournemouth’s request for an investigation into their early goal disallowed on Saturday and imposed sanctions on the match officials. Due to the early goal cancellation, the team has lost ground to their opponents overall.

Michallik:

Arne Slot has improved Luis Díaz’s playing abilities. After Liverpool’s 3-0 victory over Bournemouth, ESPN FC’s Mark Donaldson and Janusz Michallik talk about how manager Arne Slot is getting the most out of his team, especially Luis Díaz.

Luis Díaz scored two goals in short succession to put Liverpool on track for a convincing 3-0 Premier League home victory over Bournemouth on Saturday. Arne Slot’s team recovered from an upset 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest the previous week.

With a masterful offensive performance from the left wing that overwhelmed the visitors and basically ended the game as a contest by halftime, Diaz was outstanding in the first half.

The early Bournemouth goal by Antoine Semenyo was chalked off by VAR, much to the delight of home supporters who had gone from moaning at the prospect of yet another shocking loss to cheering.

Then, the electrifying Diaz went to work, forcing goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga into a fantastic save in the eighth minute. After making multiple threats, he eventually beat Kepa to a long ball and found the back of the net in the 26th.

After a five-on-four break that split Bournemouth in less than three minutes, Diaz scored his second goal. Using his left foot, the Colombian forward drove the ball between Kepa’s legs to score his fifth goal in five league games.

After that, Darwin Núñez added an incredible third goal. He attacked down the right, slowed down, and then abruptly accelerated once more to cut inside and finish with a left-foot shot to make it 3-0.

The second half saw little of interest as the game was beyond the visitors’ grasp, with the exception of Federico Chiesa of Liverpool making his Premier League debut. Chiesa came off the bench and gave Liverpool fans a taste of the talent that convinced them to spend Juventus £10 million ($13.32 million) for him.

Although Liverpool dominated the attack, they occasionally appeared weak defensively, and goalie Caoimhín Kelleher had to work hard to clear the ball when it struck the crossbar from a late corner. Nevertheless, Bournemouth was unable to mount a comeback, and the hosts won easily.
