Virgil van Dijk explains Arne Slot role in helping Darwin Nunez end Liverpool goal drought

Darwin Nunez gave Liverpool their first goal since April 4th against Bournemouth, and Virgil van Dijk has instructed him on what to do going forward. Liverpool is off to a strong start in the Premier League this year.

Virgil van Dijk has advised Darwin Nunez to maintain his composure during his 14-game goal drought for Liverpool.

Nunez’s incredible goal against Bournemouth gave him his first goal for Liverpool since April 4. The Uruguayan star intends to continue playing up front against West Ham in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday. Nunez went through a trying period at the close of the previous season when he was benched, had a public falling out with the supporters, and had removed any mentions of Liverpool from his Instagram account.

Van Dijk claims that the striker is currently in a much better place and that Arne Slot, the head coach, is always working with him. The captain of Liverpool stated, “Any striker, on the bench, or who has a lack of confidence, works their socks off to be successful.”

He put in a lot of effort to earn the opportunity to start as the striker against Bournemouth. In addition to his excellent goal, he played a strong defensive role when we didn’t have the ball. Regardless of position on the field, the entire squad must contribute to these qualities.

“He will always be under pressure to deliver, week in and week out, coming into a club like Liverpool with the price tag. He’s trying to achieve that, but it’s not always that simple. It’s important for him to maintain his composure right now, and I believe he’s been doing a lot better at it.

Both the management and the players are rather busy with him. All we need to do is continue and keep him near to us. We want him to remain consistent and keep doing it when he comes on and when he begins. He began, but he might not start the next game.

“The secret is consistency. He shouldn’t get carried away, in my opinion, and he won’t. It’s time for him to heal and concentrate on the next chance that comes his way. Football is that. We will support him; the manager, the team, and the supporters will all assist him.The most important thing is to avoid becoming sucked into the highs of optimism and then the lows of negativity, since this can eventually make you dizzy. After their May dispute, Nunez has become a fan favorite once more, and the Anfield crowd are happy to see him back on the music scene.

According to Van Dijk, his aggressive attacking style and hard ethic have won him over many followers. He stated, “The fans adore him.” They adore him for his contributions, work ethic, and directness. He achieved his objective after putting in a lot of effort, but we still want him to remain dependable and keep going. I have faith that he will be alright.
