Ipswich Town has issued a ‘not-for-sale’ caution to any team interested in signing Jaden Philogene this winter, with Premier League club AFC Bournemouth apparently interested in the English winger following the departure of Antoine Semenyo.
Although Ipswich Town haven’t been firing on all cylinders in the first half of the 2025/26 EFL Championship season, the Tractor Boys are still in contention for automatic promotion.
With the departures of Liam Delap, Conor Chaplin, Omari Hutchinson, Nathan Broadhead, and Marcus Harness in offensive positions this summer, head coach Kieran McKenna was forced to overhaul his team’s final third options.
Sindre Walle Egeli, Marcelino Nunez, Ivan Azon, Chuba Akpom, and Kasey McAteer were brought in to replace their departing players, but none of them have yet to light up Portman Road as hoped.
Instead, former Aston Villa and Hull City winger Jaden Philogene has starred for the club this season, prompting interest from Premier League side Bournemouth in replacing the departing Antoine Semenyo.
Ipswich have issued a warning to any possible suitors for the 23-year-old, who may make the difference between Ipswich’s automatic promotion and play-off position this season.
Ipswich Town does not want to sell Jaden Philogene this January under any conditions.

Adam, Football League World’s Ipswich fan commentator, has revealed his thoughts on whether Ipswich were correct to issue a ‘hands off’ warning to Philogene in January, as well as what kind of price it would take to get him away from Suffolk this winter.
Adam elaborated: “I agree with the ‘not-for-sale’ message from Ipswich Town, given the price that we signed him for.”I believe his goals this season have been worth their weight in gold, and in the second half of the season, they could mean the difference between automatic promotion and the playoffs. So his value is probably whatever the automatic promotion is, which is currently about £100 million or more.”So, sure, I can’t see Town wanting to sell him for anything less than 50, which practically pricing clubs out of signing him. So, certainly, £50 million, a least.”
Jaden Philogene can help Kieran McKenna and Ipswich Town make a quick return to the Premier League this season.

Ipswich were one of the favourites for the Championship championship at the start of the season, and while they now have their work cut out for them to win it, with Coventry having a great first half of the season, automatic promotion is still within their sight. The underlying statistics place Ipswich at the top of the league, and while this may not mean much to many, it is a clear indication that, while outcomes haven’t always been stellar, performances have.Indeed, they have already completed the double over league leaders Coventry this season, winning 3-0 at home and 2-0 away less than a month later, demonstrating McKenna’s side’s status as real contenders.Philogene is definitely one of the most skilled and exciting players in the second tier, having signed for Ipswich in January 2025 for £20 million before to their relegation from the Premier League, and he is capable of winning games on his own.
The second half of the season gives a huge opportunity for Ipswich, who will be hoping Coventry continues to slip after the busy Christmas period and capitalises on their mistakes.
Philogene will be critical to Ipswich’s ambitions to climb the league, and retaining him at the club may likely earn promotion in and of itself, thus a price tag cannot be placed on his head.
