(4-4-2) potential Arsenal dream lineup with Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak as transfer messages sent

During the summer transfer window, Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting CP and Alexander Isak of Newcastle were linked to a move to Arsenal. Both players were among those whom the Gunners had been keeping an eye on for a possible transfer, and Mikel Arteta was eager to bolster his forward line.

Nevertheless, Arsenal failed to acquire a new, established centre forward at the conclusion of the summer. Some fans are disappointed as a result, but Arteta appears to have faith in Kai Havertz to lead the line as Gabriel Jesus, who is now out due to injury, waits in the wings.

Isak and Gyokeres have already demonstrated why the Gunners were considering them, following their impressive performances for Sweden on Thursday against Azerbaijan. Anthony Elanga of Nottingham Forest and Dejan Kulusevski of Tottenham began as the pair’s front-two for Jon Dahl Tomasson’s team.

Midway through the second half, Sweden took the lead following a challenging first half. Isak scored the first goal with help from Gyokeres, finishing with a left-footed strike into the bottom corner.

Sweden quickly doubled their lead, and it was that man Isak again, scoring after another excellent pass through from Gyokeres set up the goal. Isak plays forward for Newcastle.

With a penalty converted into the bottom left corner in the 80th minute, Gyokeres added his name to the scoresheet and Sweden’s attack looked even more dangerous.

Sweden managed to hold on for a 3-1 victory and three points to begin their Nations League campaign, despite a late comeback by Azerbaijan. Given that they were linked to both teams during the summer, Arsenal supporters may be envious of The Blue and Yellow’s explosive attacking display.

Isak and Gyokeres are currently the best and most sought-after front duo on any international squad, it may be said. They demonstrated on Thursday that when they play together, goals will come, whether they are scored by herself or through assists, and Arsenal has been granted a “dream” scenario after losing out on them. Although it’s highly improbable that the Gunners can sign both, signing even one would give them a fresh alternative up top and enhance their centre forward lineup.

Picture Gabriel Martinelli on the left, Bukayo Saka on the right, and Isak and Gyokeres in the middle of a front four. That would provide more firepower and ensure goals at the top of the pitch, but it may also throw off the balance of the team, particularly in midfield.
