16 Teams Most Likely to Sign Alejandro Garnacho as Odds Revealed

After a poor first season in England, Ruben Amorim is set to imprint his mark on the Manchester United squad and rebuild it in his image this summer. He intends to sign players that fit the style of play he envisions for his team, including Bryan Mbeumo, who has already agreed to join the club.

He will also remove players he believes are incapable of carrying the club forward. One player he has apparently instructed to begin looking for a new club is Alejandro Garnacho. The Argentine has been at Old Trafford for five years, having joined from Atletico Madrid in 2020.

Garnacho has played 144 games with the Red Devils and was once regarded as one of their most promising young players. Last season, however, proved difficult for him, as he only appeared in the Europa League final loss to Tottenham Hotspur. Now, it appears that his future lies elsewhere, and with Amorim effectively putting him on the market, Betfred’s betting odds have revealed the 16 teams who are most likely to sign him.

A move to a major rival could be in the cards.
A Madrid homecoming is also regarded as one of the most likely choices.

Chelsea, one of United’s main Premier League rivals, is the clear favourite to sign Garnacho. The two clubs have already exchanged players, with Mason Mount and Juan Mata heading to Old Trafford after playing for the Blues, and Jadon Sancho doing the opposite, but Garnacho may now be on his way out of Manchester United. Enzo Maresca’s side has been known to spend money recently, and Chelsea are considered the favourites to sign the forward.

According to the odds, Atletico Madrid comes in second place, followed by defending Italian top flight champions Napoli in third. The Italians bought Scott McTominay from United last year, and the deal was a huge success. He played an important role in their Serie A title victory, and Garnacho could follow suit.

As previously said, Atletico Madrid, his former club, came in second place in the race for his signature, according to Betfred. Garnacho spent time in the Spanish academy before moving to Manchester, and the betting company has given them the second-best odds to bring him back to Madrid this summer, under Diego Simeone. Fun fact: he never played senior ball for Los Colchoneros.

Could Garnacho’s Social Media Hint Be True?

He may potentially rejoin with Ten Hag in Germany.

Manchester United fans believed Garnacho had thrown a subtle hint as to where he would end up next by posting a photo of himself on vacation wearing an Aston Villa shirt with the number ‘Rashford 9’ on the back. It could, however, just be a sign of admiration for the Englishman.

Marcus Rashford temporarily relocated to Villa Park last season in order to revitalise his career, and his colleague, Garnacho, may follow suit this summer. Unai Emery’s team could benefit from his trickery, and playing under the Spaniard is priced at 6/1.

Behind a move to Aston Villa is a move to any Saudi Pro League club, which is something players do in the latter phases of their careers. Bayer Leverkusen, now managed by Garnacho’s former boss Erik ten Hag, are also in a strong position to recruit him this summer.

A few more Premier League teams are in the running.
Two more United rivals might land his signature.

Chelsea aren’t the only Premier League club rumoured to be interested in signing Garnacho this summer. There’s also a good likelihood he’ll be headed north of the capital, as Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are among the favourites to sign him.

The two sides, who ended at different ends of the Premier League standings, with Arsenal in second and Spurs narrowly above the relegation zone, could both benefit from a player like the Argentine. Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal finished runners-up for the league title for the third consecutive season and will need to make some substantial transfers to reclaim the top spot, and Garnacho might be the answer.

Spurs just defeated the forward and United in the Europa League final, and despite finishing just above the relegation zone, they will play Champions League football next season. As a result, the forward may be interested in joining Thomas Frank’s team as they seek to rectify their wrongs following a disjointed season.

Three of Europe’s Powerhouses Are Also in Play.
Some of the Champions League’s leading teams are included.

AC Milan, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona, although being near the bottom of the list, are still regarded contenders for Garnacho’s signature this summer. The former may no longer be the dominant force they once were, but their European supremacy could be appealing to the 20-year-old, especially if Rafael Leao also leaves Rossoneri this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain, who won the Champions League for the first time in their history last season, may be aiming to strengthen their roster even more this season. It remains to be seen whether Garnacho will find a position, but his current odds of moving to the Parc des Princes are 20/1.

A transfer to Paris is also likely for Bayern Munich, which is starting to blossom under Vincent Kompany after assisting Harry Kane in winning his first senior trophy last season. With these criteria in mind, look at the full odds for the top 16 teams in the table below.
